We recently completed the full-scale factory pre-assembly and electrical testing for a large-scale LED chandelier customized for a client in Canada.
To ensure the complex suspension matrix aligns precisely with the building's ceiling layout, our team performed a 1:1 structural build and a continuous illumination run before the fixture was packed for international transit.
The fixture is built upon two modular, heavy-duty black ceiling canopies. From these, a high-density matrix of independent aircraft cables drops down to form a tiered, wave-like layout. During this phase, we checked the load distribution across each suspension point and calibrated the cable lengths to ensure the structural slope matched the client’s shop drawings.
The light elements consist of custom-made, hand-blown glass fixtures shaped into multi-pointed stars. Each star houses a high-CRI LED bulb. By running a close-up inspection on a live circuit, we verified that the glass thickness remained uniform across the batch and that the heat dissipation from the enclosed LED modules stayed within safe operating limits.
Pre-Shipment Testing:
The entire system underwent a multi-hour burn-in test to guarantee circuit stability and prevent any driver failures post-installation. Every drop wire and glass component was then labeled and numbered systematically, allowing the site crew in Canada to complete the final assembly rapidly without guesswork.
